An Unusual Afternoon in RCH 101

It was a regular afternoon in RCH 101. I was sitting near the back, trying to focus on the professor’s explanation of load-bearing structures when I noticed some movement near the front of the room. At first, I thought it was just someone shuffling their papers or adjusting their bag, but then I realized it was something far more unusual.

Something had somehow made its way into the lecture hall. It was creeping along the floor, sniffing at the students’ bags and the occasional dropped pencil. Everyone was so engrossed in the lecture on shear stresses that no one seemed to notice. It moved quickly, its feet barely making a sound on the carpeted floor.

Then it spotted something interesting—a wrench, likely left behind by one of the engineering students after working on a project. Without hesitation, it grabbed the wrench in its nimble little feet and started making its way back toward the exit.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was carrying the wrench as if it had done this sort of thing a thousand times before. It darted toward the side door, but just as it reached it, the door swung open as someone else was entering. It paused for a second, seemingly assessing the situation, then bolted out of the lecture hall before anyone could react.

By the time people started realizing what had happened, it was long gone, wrench and all. It was one of those moments where you had to question if you really saw what you thought you saw, but I’m sure of it—it made off with a wrench right in the middle of a civil engineering lecture!

Wow, that must have been so strange! I can’t believe no one else noticed it.

Sounds like something straight out of a movie! What do you think it was?

I was in the same class, and I swear I saw it too! But by the time I realized, it was already gone.
